denominations as Companions. It is this Partnership that shares the vision of God for All – that . . .
everyone who lives in, or visits the County should have the opportunity to know more of the love of God and His purpose for their lives. This Covenanted Partnership is not just for the church leaders. It is something of
which all our churches, and therefore all of us, are part.
The Rev’d. Hannah Wallace
After discussions over recent weeks the Bishop of Carlisle has licensed the Rev’d. Hannah Wallace as Associate Priest to the Benefices of Arnside with Storth and Beetham in the Kent Estuary Mission Community to the end of September 2027. During the months ahead part of Hannah’s focus will be to assist and support the ongoing conversations taking place in the Mission Community regarding the endorsed ‘Direction of Travel’ as we journey onwards together at this time of anticipated transition. Please continue to hold Hannah, alongside Greg, Sam, and Bethan in your prayers as they look to the time ahead.
THE NORTHERN SAINTS
Next Easter the Northern Province, (those Church of England Dioceses in the north of England), celebrates the 140th anniversary of the baptism of the first Christian ‘King of the North’, Edwin of Northumbria.
Come and join us for a celebration of the spiritual footprint of Patrick, Aidan, and Cuthbert whose lives and witness led their followers to bring Christianity to the area around the Kent Estuary and the wider area around Morecambe Bay. The churches of the Kent Estuary Mission Community have all signed up to be ‘Pilgrim Places’, which forms part of the Archbishop of York’s ambitious Faith in the North initiative. Two New Ventures
MONTHLY PRAYER BREAKFAST
We’re hoping to put on a ‘Scratch’ Nativity on Saturday 19th December, mid-late afternoon at Parkhouse Farm, (off the A6 between Milnthorpe and Heversham), as a family outreach event. There may even be a few animals around to make that bit more authentic. We’d need people to serve refreshments, guide children during the play, dress up, and be narrators.

Do you like praying with others? Do you long to see more of God’s work in the KEMC? Do you want to pray for one another across the churches of this area? Then do come along to these meetings, (you’ll be fed as well), gathering at St. Thomas’ Church Community Room in Milnthorpe 8.30am – 9.30am on Monday 16th November and Monday 14th December (to continue into 2027 after discussion of dates). Donations welcome on the day to cover the cost of breakfast.
